HRYL Alumnus Kelly Mathews

Fomer HRYL player Kelly Mathews is now a high school sophmore and plays for the regionally strong Bishop Ireton Cardinals, who will be playing for the WCAC Conference championship Monday, May 13, 5:00 p.m., at the University of Maryland’s Ludwig Field. Kelly played eight years for HRYL.

She was recently highlighted in this DigitalSports article - Mathews leads Cardinals past O’Connell, 15-5.

Herndon HS Booster Brick Highway - Phase 2 Complete

Last year the Optimist Club of Herndon purchased a brick on the Herndon High School Booster Brick Highway to recognize Lou Petersen, for his 15+ years of service and commitment to HOYL/HRYL.  There were times over the years where if it wasn’t for Lou the lax program may not have survived.
